Hello I’m Jessica Hylands Confidence Coach.
Do you feel lonely in life?
Very often, feeling lonely isn’t about not having people around you. It’s about not feeling love and support from people.
You may be surrounded by a lot a people who show you a lot of love and support, but you just can’t feel it. You can’t accept it.
The reason for that will be that you’ve closed your heart.
At some time in the past you opened your heart and somebody stamped on it. It really hurt so you thought ‘I’m not doing that again’ and you closed your heart off so that you don’t get that same painful experience again.
In closing your heart to the painful experiences you’re also closing it to the good stuff.
Being the support and the love that you’re not able to feel properly.
And this is not a good place to be.
Not being able to receive those good things can make you feel isolated and not part of the world. Lonely.
It can manifest itself in feeling anxious a lot of the time. You’re feeling completely on your own. Everything is down to you emotionally.
So what can we do about this?
Ultimately what we want to do is to keep our heart open.
When you’re having a good time and you’re happy your heart will be open, hopefully.
That’s great. No reason to close it.
The time to be conscious is when you feel yourself closing off. Someone does or says something and you can feel the shutters coming down.
That’s the time to be conscious and let it be open. Whatever’s being said or done, let it flow through you. Don’t trap it which is sort of what happens.
If you do that then you’ll feel a lot freer.
It’s not a 5 minutes job. It takes practice. But every time you feel your heart going to close, think about this and stop it closing.
In time you’ll be able to do this.
You’ll feel a lot happier and able to receive love and support from people and all the other lovely things that go on in life.
So today is Valentine’s day. What better day to open your heart!
I wish you all the best with that.
If you need any help then you know where I am, and do get in touch.
Otherwise I wish you all the best in opening your heart and having a more fulfilling and satisfying future!
Thanks for listening.
Bye for now!
