How badly do you want it?

The will to succeed is what will get you there.

This is the same whether it is a small everyday want that you've had forever or a massive dream that you assume will happen one day

How badly do you want it?

Maybe you badly want that job or that relationship. That car, that life-style, that hair?

If you’ve wanted it for a while, think about why you haven't got it yet?

Is it simply something that you dream about with no intention of ever really trying to get?

Maybe you dream of a knight in shining armour or a fairy godmother turning up and delivering it to you out of the blue.

Fingers crossed this will happen but it’s a pretty rare occurence as far as I know.

Generally, if we want something like this, we have to get out there and make it happen ourselves.

So what is it that you want?

Once you have this clearly in your mind, the next question to ask yourself is how badly you want it.

Are you really intent on getting it or is it just a casual dream that is a nice place for your mind to wander off to?

For example I dream of sitting in a coffee shop with the newspaper, drinking a coffee and watching the word go by. The reality is that I very rarely do this even when I have the time.

Why?

Not because I'm denying myself the fulfilment of my dreams but because what that dream represents to me is relaxation and having the TIME to do it.

I want to make enough free time for myself that if I wanted to while away a morning at a cafe reading the papers then I could.

For me the dream represents having time to do it, not necessarily doing it.

So what is it you dream of doing?

As you haven't done it yet, ask yourself whether it is an actual dream or whether, like mine, it represents something else.

When you get to the bottom if this,

that is stage one completed!

Stage two is implementing whatever it is that your dream represents.

In my case, that will be making time for myself.

To someone else with the same dream as me that is literal, it would making time to go and sit at a cafe a couple of times a week.

Whatever your dream is, put some steps in place to make it a reality.

This may be long term plan or one that can be realised straight away.

Either way have fun with it!
